I’m Jake Barcus, a Director and Writer with a background in creating viral videos.  This experience taught me how to hook an audience fast, shape a compelling story, and never waste a beat. This sharpened not just my production skills, but also my instincts for pacing, tone, and emotional rhythm.

Comedy has always been my go to, but over time, it became how I learned to tell stories that resonate across any genre. My work is defined by a unique comedic voice, one that elevates absurd concepts into grounded narratives, handled with real depth and intention.

I also come from an editing background, which means I direct with the cut already in mind. I know how a scene is going to breathe in the final piece, and that clarity helps bring every project home stronger.

In addition to commercial, YouTube and comedy specials, I make my own short films, which have screened at festivals like Fantasia and Cleveland International. I love what I do, and I bring that passion to every project, no matter the scope.
